Welcome to my blog! My name is Nandita and I recently started sharing my cards & watercolor projects online. I love my day job, but it’s not a particularly creative space. Papercrafting (and now painting too) gives me space to be artsy & creative.
I actually started cardmaking a few years back in 2015, when I wanted to send nice cards with the rakhis I send every year to my cousin brothers. Sadly, I couldn’t find anything in store or online locally. Instead, I used some of my planner supplies to put together rakhi cards for my cousins. It was so relaxing to make the cards and very rewarding to see my cousins’ reactions. During the pandemic, I found that papercrafting/art have been a form of self-care by letting me occupy my mind with happy, creative thoughts.
From there my hobby has only grown…and I look forward to sharing some of my favorite techniques, projects, & products when making cards. I’ve really enjoyed trying out new techniques to make unique Birthday, Rakhi, & Diwali cards for my friends and family. Over the past couple years, I also made many elaborate Wedding cards for family and friends. But the wedding mementos for my sister’s wedding in 2021 and cousin’s wedding in 2022 were two of my favorite projects – I will definitely share a couple posts soon on both of those.
Check out my favorite crafting supplies: [post coming soon].
